  • Annenberg Media - Offers free Video On Demand programs for students of Spanish, German, French, and English (registration required)
  • BBC Languages - Beginning and advanced courses, links to news, and the opportunity to learn international slang.
  • Bien! Border Health Information Network - Includes consumer health, resources for health providers, and informacíon en Español.
  • Espanol Healthfinder - Gateway to trustworthy Spanish language health information from the National Institute of Health.
  • I Love Languages - Spanish - Languages "supersite" with over 2400 language related links.
  • Latin American Network Information Center (LANIC) - A wealth of information about Latin America with access to both a country directory and a subject directory. Versions in English, Español, and Português
  • Recetas de España - This page is dedicated to food recipes from Spain and has both English and Spanish versions.
  • Spanish in our Libraries - An electronic newsletter for librarians who serve Spanish speakers. Includes a searchable archives of articles and of Spanish-language library forms, press releases and programming ideas, signage, and a guide to the Dewey Decimal System.
  • Study Spanish - A free, online tutorial for learning Spanish. Each lesson includes a cultural lesson both in English and Spanish (many with links to additional resources), practice exercises and a test.

  • Yahoo! en Español Spanish version of the Yahoo! website and search engine.
  • MSN Latino - Another Yahoo type site for Spanish speakers. Searchable index of Spanish language Web sites, mostly Latin America.
  • Online translator from Altavista. This is helpful for single word translations but not for sentences. No computer program can translate syntax, so don't try to use this to write papers!
