    No Appointment Needed! Students may contact a writing consultant by phone or e-mail during hours of operation at either campus, or simply by dropping by. TNCC Students with disabilities may request assistance from LRC Staff. Based on need, students may be referred to the Disabled Students Services Office. On-line resources are listed below for distance learners and for the convenience of all TNCC students.The College Writing Center is a free service provided to all currently enrolled students of Thomas Nelson Community College. Help with writing assignments must be limited to current assignments from courses at TNCC. Our mission is to provide help in all aspects of the writing process, from preliminary brainstorming and outlining, to analysis and composition. We can also offer help writing business letters, applications, and resumes as well as with grammar and sentence structure.Our goal is to help you become a better writer, and we believe that collaboration is the key. We won't proofread your paper, but we will help you think critically about your own writing, and will offer suggestions to make your writing stronger.


    The College Writing Center Provides:

    • Help with any stage of the writing process.
    • Information that will help you understand the writing process.
    • Materials, many with sample student essays, that discuss how to write various types of essays.
    • Resources that discuss how to write analysis of short stories, poetry, and drama.
    • Tutorial books and software that can help you review grammar terms or correct basic grammar errors that may appear in your writing.

    Remember; improving your writing skills or correcting your grammar errors will not happen overnight; therefore, you should come to the center as soon as you begin to experience problems. No appointment is necessary.Selected Internet Resource for Writing Help
