Welcome to the Virginia Association of Developmental Education web site.
The Virginia Association for Developmental Education (VADE) is focused on helping learners at all levels, in two and four-year colleges and universities, reach their full academic potential. The diverse membership includes faculty, student support and learning assistance professionals, and many others interested in students’ academic development. Please browse our site to learn about the latest and upcoming activities of VADE.
We encourage you also to explore the site of our national Association and partner, The National Association for Developmental Education (NADE), as well as that of our sister organization in Maryland, DEAM.
NOTE: Please send any items about departmental and college Developmental Education initiatives (as well as VADE activities) to Angela Williams, VADE Newsletter Editor, at awilliams@ph.vccs.edu.
GOOD NEWS: The VCCS has approved the Developmental Education Peer Group! Thanks to all who worked on the proposal!
REQUEST: Anyone with picture or materials (in electronic form) from the NADE Convention related to VADE, please send them to the webmaster (weiserm@tncc.edu).
Also, see the Conferences page for all upcoming conferences--not only VADE.
