WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE?
All English, math, and science faculty, learning assistance and learning resources staff, student services professionals, researchers, and administrators from high schools, two and four-year postsecondary colleges and universities, interested in the success of students who require additional preparation or learning support for success in the college environment, should plan to attend and share in the learning experience.
The Spring 2002 conference promises to be a forum for fostering collaboration among and across faculty, learning assistance and learning resources personnel, program administrators, and counselors. Participants will benefit from the possibilities for student success presented, as well as from opportunities to interact with a variety of professionals within the educational community.
WHAT TOPICS SHOULD I EXPECT?
Student learning success topics will be presented in the form of a paper, hands-on workshop, or roundtable discussion. Topics will include informed placement into preparatory and college level courses; proven processes for teaching, learning, and evaluating with portfolios; strategies for improving learning in mathematics, composition, and reading classrooms; learning support systems, collaborative projects from across the state; the affective domain and academic success; creative approaches to the learning environment; technology in the classroom; integrated learning across disciplines; English as second language students.

Conference Registration:
Early Bird Registration Fee: $40
Registrations after January 21, 2002 - $80.00
Membership Fee: $10 annually
