2024 Commencement

GRADUATES:
Graduates are asked to ARRIVE / assemble at the Coliseum promptly at 12:30 pm.
Regalia is mandatory for participation in the commencement ceremony.
FOR GUESTS:
TICKETS ARE NOT REQUIRED
Seating begins at 1:00 pm and is on a first come first serve basis.
Guests will not be allowed to enter the ceremony during the graduates’ processional, so please tell your guests to be on time. The ceremony will start promptly at 2 p.m.
NO BALLOONS ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING

In an effort to ensure that everyone experiences an enjoyable graduation ceremony, we ask guests to follow the following guidelines and procedures:
- Aisles must remain clear; those video recording or taking photos should remain in their seats.
- Items not permitted include: strollers, flowers, gifts, gift bags, balloons, banners, signs, laser lights and air horns.
COMMENCEMENT REGALIA
Purchasing begins April 1, 2024 through May 14, 2024
All graduates participating in the Commencement ceremony are required to have and wear full regalia.
Graduates can purchase their regalia at either campus in the bookstore. Or online at https://www.vpcc.edu/services/bookstore.html.

Plus Sales Tax
Refunds will not be issued for caps and gowns after Tuesday, May 14, 2024.
Bookstore Hours:
Monday- Thursday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Fridays 8:00 am to 1:00 pm
The tassel will be the color designated for your degree or certificate type.
Associate of Arts and Associate of Fine Arts (White tassel), Associate of Science (Blue tassel), Applied Associates of Science (Gold tassel) and Certificates (Green tassel).
Please plan to try on your cap and gown at least one week prior to Commencement. If your gown appears badly wrinkled after it has been placed on a hanger, a quick press with a cool iron will restore a neat appearance.
