Visiting College Students
If you attend a 4-year college or university and intend to take a summer class to transfer back to your school, you are a visiting student. In order to expedite your registration in summer classes, please visit the schedule of classes to see what is available to you. Once you have found your class, please follow the procedure below:
Registration Starts: March 29, 2021
- Complete an application for admissions online
- Fax or email the following documents to VisitingStudents@tncc.edu or (757) 825.2763 (fax):
- A complete unofficial transcript
- A completed and signed Visiting Student Enrollment Form
- Your registration will be completed within 48 hours. Check MyTNCC to view your class schedule. You will receive a confirmation to your VCCS email account
- Pay your tuition, buy your books, and have a great summer semester.
VISITING STUDENTS - PLEASE READ:
Visiting Students should talk to their home school advisor to make sure the community college course will transfer back to the home school
Visiting Students should talk to their home school advisor to make sure prerequisites have been met for any community college courses they wish to take
Visiting Students can usually find a VCCS equivalent transfer guide on their home school webpage which will show transferable community college courses
Once enrolled – the student Gmail becomes active. Please check your Gmail often
Your summer course will populate in CANVAS on the first day of the semester
If you cannot find the course you seek at TNCC -please search COLLEGEANYWHERE for a list of online courses at all 23 Virginia community colleges https://collegeanywhereva.org/
When you have completed your course at TNCC please visit our transcript page to request a transcript be sent electronically through Parchment to your home school https://tncc.edu/admissions/transcripts
