Virginia Peninsula Community College (VPCC) has full-time staff solely dedicated to providing educational assistance to military personnel, their dependents, and civilian service personnel stationed at Fort Monroe, Fort Eustis, Langley Air Force Base, Yorktown Naval Weapons Station, and the Coast Guard Training Center at Yorktown.
How to Use Tuition Assistance at Va Peninsula Community College:

Active-duty service members attending Virginia Peninsula Community College (VPCC) must submit their Tuition Assistance (TA) request before the start of the semester, as required by the branch in which they serve. The Office of Military & Veteran Services will only place a Military DO NOT DROP (DND) hold on a military student's account through the last day to drop classes with a refund for that session in which the student is enrolled. On a case-by-case basis, the Office will consider extenuating circumstances to extend a Military DND hold past the standard deadline. It is the Military student's responsibility to:
  • Request Tuition Assistance through their branches' established policies and system(s).
  • Contact VPCC Military and Veteran Services upon enrollment to request the Military DND hold.
  • Submit TA approval documentation upon receipt from their military branch. TA approvals should be submitted to the following VPCC offices:

Suppose TA approval is not received before the expiration of the Military DND hold (i.e., the last day to drop classes with a refund for the session enrolled). In that case, tuition is due immediately to avoid being dropped for non-payment.
