Managing Cases

  1. Log in to MyVPCC.
  2. Click Navigate Campus.
  3. Click the folder icon on the left-hand side of the screen. When you hover on the icon, the word, Cases appears.
  4. Click the Unassigned tab on the left-hand side of screen.
  5. Click on Show Advanced Search on the right-hand side of the screen.
  6. Under Alert Reasons, click drop down arrow, and scroll/select In Danger of Failing.
  7. Click Search.
  8. Click in the gray area beside the students' name to alphabetize the list.
  9. Find your student's name, and click on Manage Case, which is on the right-hand side of the screen.
  10. Click Add Comment to document what has occurred.
  11. Click Add Comment again.
Notes: Follow this process when you want to update cases when you've reached out to students, but you aren't ready to close the flag yet. This serves as documentation for future reference.

Closing In Danger of Failing Cases

  1. Log in to MyVPCC.
  2. Click Navigate Campus.
  3. Click the folder icon on the left-hand side of the screen. When you hover on the icon, the word, Cases appears.
  4. Click on Show Advanced Search on the right-hand side of the screen.
  5. Under Alert Reasons, click drop down arrow, and scroll/select In Danger of Failing.
  6. Click Search.
  7. Click in the gray area beside the students' name to alphabetize the list.
  8. Find your student's name, and click on Manage Case, which is on the right-hand side of the screen.
  9. Click Close Case.
  10. Click drop-down box beside Outcome.
  11. Select Outcome Reason. Add additional comments if you like.
  12. Click Submit.
