Purpose: Mechanical Engineering Technology with specialization in Mechatronics (956-02) is a great fit for students who want to take a hands-on approach to mechanical engineering. With the Mechanical Engineering Technology Degree, specialization in Mechatronics, students start with the Mechatronics Certificate which prepares students for the Siemens Mechatronics Level 1 Certification, a worldwide industry credential (SMSCP). Mechatronics includes classes in Computer, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Technology. Festo Industry 4.0 Certifications (FI4.0CP) require the completion of illustrated labs and instruction by FI4.0CP Certified Instructors. Course Offerings: Primarily at the Hampton Campus both daytime and evening. Some classes are offered in distance and hybrid format.

Articulation Agreement: Students who are interested in transferring after completion of the AAS Mechanical Engineering w/Specialization in Mechatronics plan should meet with Academic Advising early to determine and discuss requirements.
